A Look Inside: Little Hearts Scripture Memory Cards
This blog post offers a look inside the Little Hearts Scripture Memory Cards!
Our children today are bombarded with messages from television, radio, books, magazines, movies, and social media. From a very young age, powerful marketing messages cleverly try to influence the way our children think and behave.
As Christian homeschool parents, we work to combat these negative messages. We know what our children hear – they say, and what they say -they do! And there aren’t any better words for our children “to hear, to say, and to do” than God’s Words!
If you have a child who is 5 to 7 years old, you have a child who is ready to commit God’s Words to memory, and Heart of Dakota’s Little Hearts Scripture Memory Cards are just the way to do so!
What makes the Little Hearts Scripture Memory Cards so special?
Heart of Dakota’s Little Hearts Scripture Memory Cards make memorizing Scripture a joyful experience! These 27 beautiful two-sided Scripture Cards match the Little Hearts for His Glory’s daily Bible Study plans.
They help children progressively commit to memory foundational Scripture passages. They also help children further connect with the history they are learning, as these passages also match the weekly history theme!
Why did Carrie create the Little Hearts Scripture Memory Cards?
Carrie and her daughter-in-law, Morgan Austin, created these cards for little ones to have their own special collection of cards to keep. Each cheerful, colorful card provides an interactive way to practice and review landmark Scripture verses. Furthermore, these clever Scripture Memory Cards function as just one part of a multi-faceted Bible Study plan!
In Little Hearts for His Glory, children memorize verses using repetition, hand motions, exercises, and fun activities as well. Add in catchy songs from Hide ‘Em in Your Heart Volume I by Steve Green and sharing these verses with someone special, and you have a multisensory Bible Study sure to encourage retention!
How do these memory cards work in Heart of Dakota?
The front of each card provides a fun picture to help children visualize the meaning of the verse. Portions of each picture are left black-and-white, so children can color them in and make them their own. The back of each card presents a clean rendition of the verse for kids to refer to as they commit it to memory.
The portions children color in each picture provide simple images to color, so they can feel proud of their finished Scripture cards. What a creative way to commit these landmark verses to memory! Check out some samples of the fronts and backs of Little Hearts Scripture Memory Cards below…
In today’s world, the best words our kiddos can hear and commit to memory are the Lord’s Words! If you want your 5 to 7 year-old children to start hiding God’s Word in their hearts, order your Little Hearts Scripture Memory Cards or even the entire Economy Package today!

These are a wonderful addition to an already wonderful program!
Thanks, Jaime! I’m so glad you are enjoying our Scripture Memory Cards!!!
The visuals provide helpful cues for my nearly 4 & 6 year old who are proud of their memory work! We hole punched the upper corner and keep them on a key ring.
Danielle – I love the visual cues too! They are so cute, and they provide a great “mental picture” for memorizing as well. I love the hole punch idea!
In Christ,
Julie
