Calvin Coolidge meets South Dakota

Did you know that President Calvin Coolidge’s decision to make his summer White House in South Dakota back in 1929 kicked off a new industry – automobile tourism!* His stay coincided with the dedication of Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills.
