In The Voyage of Patience Goodspeed, Patience’s life is changing all too fast. Her mama just died, and now her dad is taking her and her brother Thaddeus on a trip. However, the biggest adventure of all is when three of the crew members mutiny and maroon the ship’s crew on a deserted island in the middle of the Pacific. Patience is kept on-board to help with the cooking, but she’s determined to save her father and brother no matter what the cost.
