Scenic State Postcards
These 50 full-color Scenic State Postcards are designed for use with the “State Study” plans in Revival to Revolution. They provide a place for students to log what they learn as they discover each of the 50 states of America.
On the front of each card, you will find the following:
- The state name
- The state rank (by order of admission)
- A picture of a notable location from the state
- Places to write the state’s admission date and nickname
On the back of each card, you will find the following:
- The state abbreviation
- A map of the state’s location and region
- Pictures of the state bird/tree/flower
- Places to fill in the state motto and other key information about the state
Note: For state area and population, the Scenic State Postcards provide rankings to show where the state ranks in comparison to other states.
To aid with filling out these cards, we recommend using the Desk Atlas of the United States (which is also available from Heart of Dakota). This corresponding resource provides the needed information for students to complete all 50 postcards.
