Progressing with Courage: English 6 Teacher’s Manual
The Progressing with Courage: English 6 Teacher’s Manual includes 132 lessons divided into 11 chapters. This advanced, easy-to-use, comprehensive, God-honoring grammar text teaches key concepts of grammar, mechanics, and writing.
The lessons include both oral and written work. Lessons cover all of the basic parts of speech including prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections. This manual includes lessons on diagramming, taking notes, outlining, using reference materials, writing directions, developing stories, structuring paragraphs, using poetic devices, and writing reports.
Revival to Revolution and Missions to Modern Marvels schedules English 6 as one grammar option. These guides schedule English 6 so students complete lessons divided over two years or complete lessons in one year. This is an advanced course. So, we recommend that students complete English 6 by the end of grade 8 in preparation for high school language arts.
Note: We recommend using the teacher’s manual at this level. Parents will need the answer key and appreciate the additional help with the lessons. The Teacher’s Manual includes reduced copies of the pupil pages. A star indicates when a concept is introduced for the first time. The manual also provides suggestions for oral review, lesson introductions, and lesson outlines.
