Emerging Reader’s Set 1: Daily Reading Schedule
Introducing… our new Emerging Reader’s Set 1: Daily Reading Schedule! This full-color reading schedule for Emerging Reader’s Set 1 includes the pages your children read aloud to you each day, brief discussion questions to check comprehension, short narration prompts to help children retell the stories, and approximate reading levels for each book.
Additionally, this handy reading schedule includes optional supplemental book titles. This allows you to supplement your reading schedule with additional book recommendations that your child will enjoy reading again and again.
Each week of plans for the Emerging Reader’s Set 1 includes one extra library title your child can read in addition to the core books. These titles are considered optional, but fit seamlessly into the reading level progression provided in the main study.
Pacing of Reading Instruction
Designed to follow phonics instruction, Set 1’s collection of 14 engaging books builds reading skills and helps children make meaningful connections with the text. With books that gradually increase in difficulty, the Emerging Reader’s Set 1 transitions beautifully into the Emerging Reader’s Set 2.
