The Early Reader’s Bible
The Early Reader’s Bible features 64 easy-to-read Bible stories, based on the 250 most common words used in early reader books. It includes colorful illustrations, stimulating questions, and real-life applications to increase children’s understanding of God’s word. This Bible is easier than The Beginner’s Bible.
- If you are not sure which Bible to choose, have your child try reading the first story of each to choose. Children should read quite fluently, only stopping occasionally to sound out unknown or longer, more difficult words. God Made Many Things provides the first reading selection in The Early Reader’s Bible.
God Made Many Things
Long ago there was no world.
There was no sun.
There was no moon.
There were no stars.
“I will make a world,” God said.
So God made our world.
“I will make a sun,” God said.
So God made the sun.
Then God said, “It is a good sun.
It helps you see all day long.”
“Now I will make a moon,” God said,.
“And I will make stars.”
So God made the moon and the stars.
“They are good,” said God.
“They help you see at night.”
God made many more things.
He made the trees.
He made the fish in the sea.
He made big animals. And he made little animals.
Last of all, God made a man and a woman.
“This world is for you,” he said.
The man and the woman were happy in their new world.
