Art Gallery Notebook
The Art Gallery Notebook adds a Charlotte Mason inspired feel to our fine arts program!
As narrative as the Short Lessons in Art History text is, it does not provide much full color artwork. While it would seem easy to add to a book of art prints to our package to accompany the text, this route had many barriers…
First, many of these types of full-color art print books are very expensive. Next, the art prints within these volumes often contain multiple images with nudity. Last, even after overlooking cost and the lack of clothing issues, many books didn’t contain prints of all of the artists the students will be studying.
To remedy these problems, we designed an Art Gallery Notebook containing at least one full-color print for each artist. This notebook works in conjunction with the Short Lessons in Art History readings. Together, they provide a beautiful collection of paintings by famous artists throughout history.
Students will also record “Writing Project” and “Research Project” assignments about the artists in the notebook, allowing the notebook to function as a portfolio for fine arts related work as well.
Pages come 3-hole punched on heavy paper for easy insertion into a binder. A full-color cover is included for insertion in a clear plastic page protector on the binder’s cover.
- Note: This item is consumable. Each student will need his/her own set of student notebook pages.
