Power Basics: Geometry Student Resource
The Power Basics: Geometry Student Resource works as the student text component of a set to provide all you need to help your math student succeed! Power Basics developed a streamlined textbook program that presents the essential content students need to succeed. The Power Basics teacher’s guide, student resource, student workbook and answer key, and test book work together to provide a succinct yet complete math program.
Power Basics offers a fresh look at geometry, as well as additional activities in the student text and corresponding teacher guides. Power Basics Math continues to provide a user-friendly, basic skills curriculum dedicated to total mastery. Lessons are self-instructional and fairly lengthy. Each lesson includes approximately 10 student pages.
A collection of Station Activities reinforce the concepts taught. While these are group activities, homeschool families should have no problem modifying them for one or two students. Instruction is clear and doesn’t assume prior knowledge. Explanations tend to be more procedural than conceptual.
Student pages include instruction, drill, and practice problem-solving skills. They usually involve “real” world applications, such as planning a party, comparison shopping, and balancing budgets. Content follows NCTM standards. If your student is struggling with traditional courses, Power Basics may be the answer you are seeking!
This Student Resource text includes ample space intended for students to use to write their answers. If you would rather not use the Student Resource text in a consumable way, students can write their answers on separate paper.
