Alexander Hamilton: Young Statesman
In Alexander Hamilton: Young Statesman, you will meet the young, dynamic Alexander Hamilton. Young “Alex” grew up in the Caribbean. He loved to read, but even more, he loved to dream of visiting the land called America.
As a man, he became famous for many things! He was a Founding Father, the first Secretary of the Treasure, and an aide to George Washington. The $10 bill even has Alexander Hamilton’s face on it!
As a child, Alex loved to fill his days with books and visits to the waterfront to greet the large ships from Europe. All was well until one fateful day when his Uncle Peter insisted he learn to ride.
Children will identify with Alex’s struggle to overcome his fear of horses and applaud his courage as he narrowly escapes a violent hurricane on horseback, all the while keeping his eye on the prize – school in America.
