I had to get the version HOD sells because the pages didn't match up and that was frustrating for my dd, who was doing those sections independently.
I've done all the guides now with at least one child and still feeling the HOD LOVE. LOL!

If I am saying this correctly.....I believe it is the 1997 Calvert printing that coincides with Preparing Hearts.

Liz is right - PHFHG's Introduction says this...

*A Child’s History of the World by Virgil M. Hillyer (Calvert Education
Services, 1997) Note: This text is available in several different versions, but
only the 1997 version matches with the page numbers in this guide and
includes the additional end chapters needed for this study.

I have found the "Introduction" of each HOD guide to be extremely helpful and beneficial to reread even when I'm doing a guide a second time with another child. I like to start the year with reading it through and jotting notes about anything that pertains to our year in the margin. HTH! CHOW is awesome paired with "Grandpa's Box" - you have a great year of excellent reading ahead of you in PHFHG!
