Ladies,

I am actually doing the fine-tuning to the layout this week, getting it all exactly right, so there's no major changes to the design of the guide once the Sample Pages go up! We're looking to have the Sample Layout of a Day up within the next two weeks, with the whole week up by the first week in April. :D

We've also been working hard to figure out the layout and design of the Student Notebook pages. We are now thinking that we may do the Student Notebook in full-color, although this will cause the price to go up to $20-$21. So, we're still weighing that! If you have opinions on that share away!

The Notebook would have a two-page spread for each unit of plans with numbered blank boxes for the student to write/draw corresponding assignments given in the CTC guide. The boxes would be scheduled for the students to add timeline entries, a weekly writtten narration, note-taking, copywork, and sketches (including the Draw and Write drawings). The boxes on the pages would be framed in gold, simliar to our catalog framing, have a parchment like background and include full-color artifacts scattered among the boxes. The down-side is the price!

Blessings,
Carrie

I think the color version sounds wonderful.

What I really wish is that I could get the notebook pages on CD. My dd is a perfectionist and I can see only having one copy stressing her out. If she knew I could easily print another one I think she would do better. I realize that is likely not an option.

If you are wanting to make it so that the notebooking pages cannot be copied for use with other children (no photocopying) then I vote for color. If they are going to be reproducible for family use, then I'm voting for black & white.
