Math question.

Post by Sierra1410 » Wed May 11, 2016 9:46 am

Hi all!:)

I'm a little confused about what to order for 1st grade math. I will be finishing the second half of LHFHG this coming year for first grade. But I am buying the BEYOND guide so I can follow the 1st grade math activities, emerging readers, and readers schedule. when looking at ordering, under LHFHG first grade options it shows me needing both textbooks and workbooks and an answer key. But when looking under the BEYOND guide needed materials it only shows me needing 1A/1B workbooks? Which do I order? I am following the BEYOND guide for math. But will be finishing LHFHG left side for the year:) if you ordered the beyond package what came for math? . TYIA!!!!

You need either the textbooks or the Beyond guide. You do not need both.

Unless you are truly terrible at Math, an answer key won't save you time. Once you get to higher levels, the key makes checking faster.

I don't use the textbooks or the Beyond guide. I have counters and we've used them a lot. The lessons are self-explanatory and so easy to teach. If he seems confused or I want to make it a little more interesting, we'll play a math game or use counters or playing cards or blocks or something like that.
