IEW Student Resource Notebook

Post by jacynamommy » Tue Aug 18, 2015 9:20 am

I am printing the IEW Student Resource Notebook pages listed in the Res to Ref guide that are needed. I'm a little confused if what I printed is what's supposed to be printed! :o For example, pages 19-40 is one of the sets listed to print. That's what I selected on my print tab, but those pages from the notebook are actually pages 16-37. It doesn't seem complete, but then pages 19-40 on the notebook pages doesn't seem quite right either. I'm confused! Can someone help me? Thanks!

I just did that printing also. You have to tell it to print the pages that are on the computer-not what the book says. If the book says pg 16, find pg 16 and look up at the top and you will see that it is page 19 on the computer--because it is technically the 19th page. The notebook itself doesn't number the beginning pages of the book. :)

When I printed it, I found that I needed to find page 19 in the student book, not page 19 of the Adobe file. The computer program counts its pages from the title page, so all intro pages, the page with the copywrite info, the table of contents, are all given a page by the computer. But the pages we need are the numbers that would be in a printed version of the book, which typically start with page 1 after the table of contents. Does that make sense?

The pages you are told to print should be correct. You just need to get the computers range since the computer has them off numbered by a few pages. Read the computer file page number and compare that to the number on the SRN page, then use that difference to find your print range.

What you are printing will be the box showing the elements they will be working on, and word lists. There are pages for good/bad words, -ly words...quality adjectives, quality adverbs, quality verbs...this sort of thing.

Sorry for being a bit vague. We did this about 5 weeks ago. Don't have it handy atm.
