World History Guide is off to the printer!

Post by Carrie » Wed Jul 08, 2015 4:39 pm

Ladies,

I just wanted to share that I have finally finished the overview, course descriptions, and grading for the World History Guide (all 45 pages of it), which completes the World History Guide! We sent the complete guide to the printer yesterday. It will take a couple of weeks for us to get it back in-house to ship out to our customers. :D

I am always amazed at how long it takes to write the overview, course descriptions and grading part of the plans. It wears me out and is definitely a big dose of exercise for my brain cells!

I have sent PDFs of the first week of plans and all 45 pages of the overview, course descriptions, and grading to our web designer to post on our website for the World History Guide, so be watching for those to show up at the following link: http://www.heartofdakota.com/world-hist ... school.php

Now, I'll be able to turn my heart and eyes more fully toward the American History Guide, which I am immensely grateful to be able to do! :D

Blessings,
Carrie

Thank you so much for being so dedicated to these guides! Your program has blessed my family immensely and I know others will be so happy to be able to use the upcoming WH and AH guides.

Hello everybody! I was just wondering if there was any update on when the guide will be shipped out. I recently ordered and received the rest of the package but not the guide. Planning to start our year soon and wondering if I'll need to delay a bit for the guide. Thanks so much! :D

Thank you for all your work and dedication! You and your family are a true blessing to all of us!

I bought this guide last year with the intent on starting late winter/early spring. Our life for the past 5+ years has been filled with one trial or family emergency after another, on top of our already full lives with dr appts/health issues and sleep disorders. As such, we won't be starting this guide until this coming fall.

This mama, for one, is excited! God's timing is best. He knew that without the grading info I'd be lost. Continually He is teaching me to rest in Him and not rely on my own strength!

Thank for for the added peace you bring with grading handholding!

Hi, I'm glad to have read this. I realized that I received weeks 34 & 35 and placed it promptly in the pile without looking at it :) Life and unexpected events happened, and I am now just getting back to finishing this. Then I panicked because I thought perhaps I had misplaced something in order to receive the printed copy of the entire guide. Whew! So I guess when we receive the guide, you will enclose an envelope for us to send back the printed piece-meal weeks? Just want to make sure I'm doing the correct thing and haven't forgotten.

Thanks!

I can't wait to look through it 8) One question though, if I just recently ordered, I shouldn't need a postage paid mailer should I? Does it go out with all the guides, or just to those who used the curriculum in instalments this year...I don't want to miss anything :o

Great question! The postage paid mailer goes out with all guides, and the letter that accompanies the guide in the box will explain what to do for varying situations. So, it should be clear what do do once you receive your guide. :D The guides are shipping by either priority mail or UPS, depending on which will arrive in a more timely fashion for each location. :D

Blessings,
Carrie

Wow - that was fast printing! I think I am going to have my dd open the package. ;-) Just a little something to give her incentive to pick up the pace as we finish the WG guide. Homeschooling fulltime through the summer has its challenges.

Woo Hoo! My World History guide arrived via UPS!!!!

I just wanted to pop in and give a HUGE congratulations to Carrie and her family for its completion!

I wanted to post a picture to show how great it looks. I'm just technically challenged.
But I can describe the feeling as I opened it :)
I now have every HOD guide, but this one seemed different. It was like opening a special precious gift. As I opened the box and brown paper, I thought of the sacrifices Carrie and her family have had to go through to get this guide out. Through the board I have learned that Carrie and Julie lost there precious dad a year and a half ago. This was after his battle with cancer. Carrie has had physical challenges and some that specifically hinder her work on the guides. I'm sure Carrie, Mike, and Julie have had other obstacles they have not shared here. I know homeschooling her boys ( one graduating) and working a business is enough to stress anyone.

Thank you, Carrie for continuing the work. We appreciate your willing ness to use your God given talents of teaching, curriculum planning, love of Charlotte Mason, and thorough research for us to be able to home school with the quality materials HOD supplies!

Thank you to Mike who heads your home and your business!

Thank you, Julie, for your editing skills and much hard work behind the scenes!

Also, appreciation for your sons in the warehouse. They do an awesome job!

I am excited to use our next guide this year for my upcoming sophomore. My hope is that you will get a little break before your home school starts. God's timing for the printing of this guide was perfect. I know He will lead you forward in the timing for future guides to come. What a blessing that you allow faithful customers to receive the new guide in installments before it goes to print. Please continue the work as you can, Carrie. You do such an amazing job!!!

He gives more grace,
Cindy
