What a wonderful ministry to Moms/Wives/Women of God!

Post by inHistiming » Mon Mar 24, 2008 8:59 am

I just started the devotional this weekend...and I LOVE it! Thanks, Julie, so much for being so transparent. I read today about being persistent, and I have taken the quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson as my own. It's so true that there are people that will challenge you, and even when you know you are in God's will, it can cause some hesitance. I so appreciate the reminder to stick with it. He is the author and finisher isn't He? I'm really looking forward to reading more and learning how to be the woman God has for me to be. :D

I'm so glad you like the devotional! It is a daily struggle to be the women God calls us to be, at least for me. Being in God's will is key, though not always easy, is it? You put it so eloquently with "He is the author and the finisher". And we always think we have the final word, don't we?!? I wonder what great things God's planned for you and me? Sometimes it's a relief to know I'm not in charge of planning my life, though I often try to step into that role. There are things I'd never have picked to go through that have done more to shape me into what God wants me to be than I could have ever foreseen. Never seems that way in the middle of it though - Emerson knew what he was talking about, didn't he? Praying blessings your way!

Love in Christ,
Julie
