John Audubon

I love how God works!

We are doing Bigger this year half-speed and started John Audubon not that long ago. A couple weeks ago (about the same time we started the book), we found a cardinal nest in a bush right outside our livingroom window. Mama cardinal had laid 3 eggs which we checked everyday. The day we left on vaca, was the day they hatched. We were worried that we would be gone and miss it but we got to see them! Because of where the nest was located, we were able to observe them daily. They finally flew away 2 days ago. My daughter is a little sad they are gone, but is so excited that she got to witness them! And the great pics we were able to get of them!

How neat that God put them there right as we were to read John Audubon!! I love that! :D

Wow! That is neat, Kelly! :D

We really enjoyed John Audubon, too. I have a bunch of bird-lovers here, too, who love this time of year where they can find bird nests in our yard, by the pond at the farm, in the pasture...

God has perfect timing, doesn't He? :D We have to be watching to realize it though - so I'm so glad you and your dc noticed how God placed those birds and eggs right there right then, so you could enjoy His creation as you read about John Audubon enjoying the very same thing so many years ago. :D :D :D
