CTC history read a loud ?

Post by Polly » Fri May 20, 2011 9:11 pm

I'm looking at the TM for CTC I don't understand something. I see under storytime that it says "Read aloud the next portion of the biography that you selected." Do we just pick any biography (or adventure, etc) or is it one of the read alouds?

Thanks,

Polly

Looking at my CTC manual (it's been 2 years since we did that one :)), it looks like you have the choice of either using the read aloud suggested or choosing your own. So, like Unit 6 Day 3 (cuz that's where I opened my manual to :P) says in the Storytime box:

Choose one of the following read aloud options:

* Boy of the Pyramids: ch 4 p. 37-54

* Read aloud the next portion of the adventure you selected.

You are only supposed to do ONE of those. They are just giving you options. :) So, if you bought the storytime package, just read what is listed for that book. If you have chosen a different book to read aloud, do it instead. Does that make sense?

Thank you! I feel kind of dumb asking that. Can I plead that it was after 11:00pm. :?

At my house I can plead it was after 10 PM! I am soooo not a night person. :shock: Yes, case solved. Too late to think straight. :D

At my house, I would plead too early. I may be up at 6:15, but I don't wake up until after 9am! :mrgreen:

Mamas4bugs, I'm with you. I'm just getting going at 10 or 11 at night and I don't wake up (even if I'm up) until at least 9 am. I think it is later than that most days. :oops: My bio clock works more on an evening/night schedule so don't hold anything against me if I post in the mornings. :lol: :wink:
