We've decided to stay with HOD long-term!

Post by Heart_Mom » Thu Apr 14, 2011 1:23 pm

This might not seem earth-shattering, but to me it is: I'm finally putting all my endless homeschooling research behind me and deciding on HOD for the long haul! :D :D :D

I'm so thankful to be here (on these encouraging forums) and so thankful to have found this Christ-centered curriculum! :D

Just wanted to share! Thanks for listening!

And thank you, Carrie, for writing it!
Blessings,
Elisabeth

I think it is huge. :D It was for us when we decided the same thing. You are going to find so much peace in that decision. :D

Agreeing too! HOD is hands down the best and most complete and enriching curriculum I have come across in my 11 years now of homeschooling-----and of course my part-time job of researching curriculums for the 'best' one. I too have found The Best here at HOD and am so thankful that Carrie has decided to continue the program all the way through high school. My kids will have graduated---but I am SO excited for all of you mom's who get to use such an incredible program with your kids.

Thanks for all your encouragement, everyone. :D It makes sense that fellow homeschooling moms would understand what a big moment it is to just decide! I'm tired of searching... it's great to be "home" here with HOD! :D
Blessings,
Elisabeth

I honestly understand how you feel. It's been one year and two months since I found HOD and I have not had any desire to look for anything else. :D It is such a wonderful feeling! :D I, too, have plans to stay with HOD as long as possible. I'm going to convention next month and it will be the second year that I can actually enjoy workshops and not feel pressured to look at curriculum. I can't even force myself to think about considering something else. HOD is IT for as long as God allows.

It IS a big deal, and I can completely relate. How many YEARS did I spend searching for the next new and better thing? My son is completing CtoC this year, I think this is the first year we will have completed a curriculum! And I am not even considering anything else for him. RtoR is purchased, on the shelf, and I am not tweaking anything...what peace and rest I have found, finally.
I haven't figured it all out for my daughter yet, but I plan to use Preparing and have that ready, too!
Congratulations....though we all know each of us really got to the place of decision through the Lord's doing! Thanks be to God! Glorify Him!
DS 11 Finished CtoC! Moving on to RtoR!
DD 9 Preparing- Hoping to give her the best year possible, and sticking to the guide as written!
