OT: Dh has leave next week....

Post by Lynnw » Wed Oct 13, 2010 10:38 am

My dh has been deployed since February and he will be here next week for two weeks of leave! I had NO idea how much that would effect getting school done THIS week. We are ALL ready to be DONE for the week - myself included! Help! Well, I don't really want help, I want permission to hang it up, LOL. And I think we will since we finished units today. We will just finish up odds and ends and 3Rs and not start the next unit until after his leave is over.

I hate to see what we will be like in January when we anticipate him coming home for good! This kind of apathy could do us in!

I'm so glad you'll get time with your husband!!!!! :D :D :D

I certainly wouldn't feel badly about wrapping it up until after his leave is over!
Blessings,
Elisabeth

Certainly feel free to take the time off and enjoy his leave! Tell him thanks for serving our country. And thanks to you for being the support he needs at home!

And when he comes home in January, maybe you could take the first week or two off and then start back in half speed.

How wonderful that he is coming home! I'm excited for you and give you permission to take a break. I'm sure you have things to do to prepare for his homecoming so if you're at a good stopping place, I would do that and get ready. Enjoy your family time together! :D

Certainly! May I add to the previous posts: Take the time now to stock the pantry, bathroom cabinets, toiletries, etc. so that you can sail through your visit with him not having to worry about the everyday. Except for maybe laundry, I'd get any housework done now before he comes home so you won't have to worry with that either!! I'll even bet the kids will be extra eager to help out since they're so excited to see daddy...I'd utilize their extra adrenaline right now  !!

Enjoy your time off!! :D :D
