LHFHG half speed thread?

Hi,
Can anyone help me find the thread that shows how to do LHFHG half paced? I want to stretch it out over 2 years with my son who is 6. He is reading pretty good. Still working on long vowels but for the most part he gets it. He has speech issues so we do work for that everyday & I don't want to overload him. Has anyone else done it over 2 years? How did it work out for you? I'm trying to get a plan going in my brain!!
Any input would be appreciated!! :D

Thanks!
Georgette

Georgette,
We are doing LHFHG half speed. It's working very well for us and we simply do one side of the page one day and the other the next. Somedays we end up doing the entire day if things are going really well but that's never my intention. We do usually add picture books each day to round out the half-pace structure. We are on week 4 since we started in late May with our school year so I'm not too far into the program but really love the pace for my almost 6 y.o.

We are going to do LHFHG half speed... actually a little less than half speed. If you open your manual and look at a day it's on two pages. Each unit lasts a 5 day week, so there are 10 pages in a week. We are going to do one page a day, 4 days a week... so it will take us 2.5 weeks to do a unit.
