Justin Morgan had a Horse

Post by Dorla » Tue Mar 09, 2010 2:10 pm

What a great book!
I think that is what we say at the end of every book that Carrie has chosen for HOD!
Thanks, Carrie for such great choices and the peace moms can find in just ordering all the books, knowing that they will be excellent!
I never thought I would enjoy a book about a horse and a boy!

We always enjoy Carrie's book choices! And I love that they've all been pre-screened so we know they're child friendly.

I can't WAIT to be able to read this book! The Justin Morgan Musuem is only a couple hours from here so we will be making a field trip!!!! :D

We too have loved all the book choices! I think my fav. so far this year was Sarah Witcher's Story. What an amazing story! ANd my kiddos love that it happened so close to our home! I've recommeded it to so many families at our co-op and they have all loved it as well!

I'm sooo jealous :) We had to look up Morgan horses on the internet.

We loved Justin Morgan too! When we got near the end my boys would never want me to stop. "Read some more, Mom. Please!!!!" Every book Carrie has selected for us this year has been a page turner that my boys have thoroughly enjoyed.

I thought of you last year while we read that book, Kelly! That sounds like a great field trip!

Grant and I thoroughly enjoyed that book last year. I loved the beautiful pictures he drew mapping the setting throughout the book! :D

We most definitely LOVE all of HOD's book choices, too! :D In fact, my big decision right now is which pack of storytime books I'm going to pick for CTC next year. (Not sure my hubby will go for ALL OF THE ABOVE??) The history ones or the boy interest? Hmmm... :? At least I know we'll be totally satisfied either way! :D

Wyatt and I loved reading that book too! In fact, we went on a hunt for books by Marguerite Henry after finishing it. It was outstanding! :D I too am very thankful Carrie reads countless books searching for those gems that are sure to become our favorites - and that have safe content for the ages their suggested for as well. Thanks, Carrie! :D
