I am looking at Rev2Rev for my rising 7th grader. My question is whether or not all of the six books scheduled in the science section are actually used for the "Inventor Study" box. He had his heart set on doing Apologia for science. Would I be able to order the books for the Inventor Study and use Apologia for the "Science" box? Thanks!

All 6 of those books are used in full in the inventor's study.

I can honestly say that yes, you could order both the apology and the inventor's study but if you do...it is going to significantly lengthen your child's day. I have found that the science that is schedule is short and sweet. It is very concise and my kids are learning a TON! But I can't imagine having my dd complete the inventor's study and another extra full curriculum. But they are scheduled completely separate and so technically, you could do the study even if you did another curriculum.

If your child is just plain interested in the inventors, just have him read them for fun, without all the extra science added on.

The inventor study is interesting and short. The most of the work is the reading, the note booking pages really help in this. Exploration Education may not be as in-depth as Apologia at times. We have enjoyed Apologia in the past and I think it would be doable in place of the scheduled Exploration Education if scheduled over the year. Then as you go through the year if it is too much you could, as was mentioned before, use the inventor books for pleasure or extension reading. It is interesting what they learn through the inventor study.
