Advice Needed for Choosing School Name for Diploma

Post by Lynn3ggb » Tue Apr 12, 2016 8:59 am

It is time for me to order my daughter's highschool diploma! :D I can't believe it. Where has the time gone? She is my first to graduate. We never really gave much thought to naming our homeschool. Now that I need something to put on a diploma, I wish we had picked something out already.

I've looked at a couple of online diploma providers and I think the styles and options they provide are amazing, but before I can order I need to have a name for our school. If anyone would like to share how/why you picked a name for your school or diploma, I would really appreciate it.

If you would like to share where you purchased your diploma and your satisfaction with the end result, that would be great too.

We chose the name Hearts for Him High School for two reasons. It is the name of the curriculum that we are using,
and we have Hearts for Him.
Blessings,

I love both of those names! Our street name is Trudie. I just don't like that for a diploma. Since my oldest did not use HOD for highschool, we decided to choose a name based on our belief that God called us to homeschool from public school. We chose Providence Harbor Christian Academy.

Providence:
NOUN
1.
(often initial capital letter) the foreseeing care and guidance of God or nature over the creatures of the earth.
2.
(initial capital letter) God, especially when conceived as omnisciently directing the universe and the affairs of humankind with wise benevolence.
3.
a manifestation of divine care or direction.

Harbor:
NOUN
1. a place of security and comfort

Thanks for your responses. I really appreciate them.

Blessings

We use the kids first name initials. So ours is K.A.A.L. Academy.
