Do any of you use these workbooks or things like MindBenders? There are a lot of homeschool moms that I know that use them. They look like busy work to me. Just curious as to your opinions on these.

Building Thinking Skills
Re: Building Thinking Skills
I tried them briefly and yes found them to be more like busy work. I guess if your dc enjoy them then they could be fun for when all the other school work is done. I feel like thinking skills are built in a natural progression through the guides due to the activities that Carrie has planned so I really don't worry about adding something like that.

Re: Building Thinking Skills
I felt Building Thinking Skills was a lot of busywork. My kids LOVE MindBenders, though. I think MindBenders does help build reasoning skills, and it's just fun.

I like and have used them both. Like the other posters, if I were to choose one, I would definitely pick Mind Benders. I think they make great summer school!
