Biography on a queen

Post by joyfulhomeschooler » Sat Aug 03, 2013 10:31 pm

I'm picking our DITHOR books for the coming year and my daughter has requested to read about a princess/queen for her biography book. There isn't any on the list of DITHOR suggestions that fit that bill in her level. Anyone have any ideas on what I could search for to find one? I've been on amazon for a while now trying to find a suitable one. She is in 3rd grade and will be doing the 2/3 workbook but is a great reader and loves to read so she could read a little harder of a book if it's a good one.

Part of post removed per board rules by board moderator.

This is what immediately came to my mind, though insure there are others out there.

Good Queen Bess is a good book, but it is used in one of the other guides, I think RTR.

This one does look good! I read her a page from amazon and she said it sounded interesting. I wonder since we won't be reading it again for almost 3 years, if we could still use it now and then again in RtR.

Also just know it is a very short book. Not sure how well it would work for DITHOR.

O.K. Thanks. I may just check it out from the library and see if we can use it as a 5 day option.
