Character Curriculum

Post by glperky » Mon Aug 20, 2012 5:23 am

We have been schooling this summer with just math and phonics, and Bible of course but I don't count it as school. Anyway, before we start HOD in the fall, I would like to take a break from math and phonics and work on character issues. Can anyone recommend a character curriculum for the younger years? My boys are almost 5 and 7. TIA! :D

Just wanted to add that HOD does an amazing job of working character into the program in seamless, applicable ways. I've been pleased over and over again with the unique way this curriculum weaves character qualities and godliness throughout the program. I've never felt the need to add anything in this regard.
Blessings,
Laura

I want to second this. I'm sure that there are a lot of great character programs out there and I have looked at a few myself, but I'm really blessed how HOD weaves this into their curriculum. We have only done a few weeks of school this year, but we have had so many good discussions about responsibility, and diligence, and initiative, and boldness (among other things). So if you get to something else this summer it will be an added bonus, but, if not, I think you will be blessed to see how HOD covers these areas.
Enjoying Heart of Dakota for our fifth year using:
