What a blessing it is to be LOVED by the body of Christ!! :D We are so thankful for our real-life church family, our community, our facebook friends (many of whom we went to Bible college with and live all over the world), and our friends here at HOD!

God has been giving us peace and comfort as we trust in Him. His grace is amazing and right there when we need it!!

We're praising the Lord at our house today for a clean CT scan!! It hasn't been "officially" read yet, but the oncologist looked it over when we met with him today and said it looks great! There are a couple lymph nodes right near the tumor that are a little bigger than expected which could mean they have cancer cells in them or they could be larger from inflamation from the tumor. They come out with surgery regardless, so we'll find out more after that. Right now we're anticipating surgery on Friday morning.

Mrs. Knapp - I haven't googled Gerson Therapy yet, but we're definitely planning on using nutrition to fight this. I think it's similar to several things we've been told already. We're still praying for direction and wisdom as we move ahead in the days to come.

Thank you for praying for us!!

Kathleen, I have been praying for you guys daily and continually. My church is also praying for your husband. Want to encourage others to lift your husband up to their churches and small groups/Sunday schools so that we can storm Heaven with prayer!

Also wanted to say that I completely understand the traumatic effect with your mom having had the same thing. I have walked that path as well with my two parents. But I know God is going to use that to help you through this for your good and the good of your family and I will pray against the enemy taking that in the wrong direction.

God is walking with you and He is good all the time!

Kathleen,

I just wanted to let you know that I am uplifting you and your family in prayer and will continue to do so. We are privileged to be able to know you through HOD. I am glad that the tumor is operable and that the CT scan turned out so well. The Lord is walking with you, and I pray that you will feel surrounded by His touch.

Blessings,
Carire

Hi ladies!

I only have a minute here, but just wanted to let you all know what we're up to. (I actually thought I had been on here Thursday morning, but must have forgotten...sorry about that.) Mike and I are currently at Cancer Treatment Centers of America just north of Chicago getting another opinion on everything before we move forward. Although it doesn't look like his case is a "difficult" one as far as cancer is concerned, we just really like the fact that this Center looks more at the whole person in their reccommendations. It won't be as disjointed as what we can get in our area. Besides having surgeons and medical oncologists on staff, they also have naturopatic Drs and nutritionists that will be working with him.

We so appreciate all of your prayers, and ask that God would continue to give us wisdom as we make decisions. And that God would give the Drs wisdom as they look Mike over in the next few days.
