bible in beyond?

Post by hollyh » Sat Jun 09, 2012 12:04 am

I'm looking at what needs to be purchased in Beyond and there is not a Bible listed. I know there are two options for LHFHG and there are two bibles in the emerging readers, but if the emerging readers are done during LHFHG, what is used for Bible in Beyond?

We are using my DD Bible, the ESV Seek and Find Bible, its for kids. It was the perfect time to get her own Bible since she just started reading!!! So you can use any Bible you want with it.

We will be using the emerging readers in beyond in the fall but I bought my dc an Adventure Bible that is NIrv for early readers so we can look up his memory verses and read from on the days that have scripture reading and we will also highlight each of his memory verses.

ds6 - Beyond - Half Speed

In Beyond you will need a "regular" Bible rather than a "story" Bible. :D You'll be looking up verses of scripture to memorize and read in the Bible study box, as well as history, storytime, and DITHOR (if you're done with the emerging readers). Allison LOVED finding verses in her "real" Bible throughout our year with Beyond.

We use ds's NIV Bible. He loves that it's "his" Bible. We're also marking Scripture according to year as we go. For us, Beyond was yellow, Bigger will be orange. That way he'll always have them marked and he'll know what year he memorized them by color. :D
