Noah's Ark, Noah's Flood

Post by Gwenny » Fri Jun 01, 2012 2:02 pm

Ive been gathering and rearranging my books and putting them in order. I have the book Noah's Ark, Noah's Flood that I know I bought from HOD. I can't figure out where it goes, I don't see it in any of the packages online, or am I missing it?

Looks like it used to be in Preparing in the Independent History Box:

It's not in the current package so I'm guessing it went out of print?

I'm not sure. I bought the whole package quite awhile ago and so I do have it. I also have all of the other books on the website so there doesn't appear to be anything new. Not sure....

Hmmm, I'll have to look in my manual, I don't have the book. We just bought preparing at the beginning of the school year.
eta -----------
My manual is dated 2008.
The Independent History Box consists of
Units 1-16, 20-21 - Draw and Write through History
Units 5-6 - 5000 Year Old Puzzle
Units 9-10 - The Trojan Horse
Units 10-21 - The Young Christian's Introduction to the Bible
etc...

Noah's Ark - Noah's Flood would have fallen under Units 2 and 3 so I guess it was replaced by Draw and Write through History. I don't know. You should have a bibliography for the Deluxe set in your Appendix. If it isn't scheduled in your manual but you still want to use it, I found the original schedule for it on the yahoo group. PM me and I'll send it to you.

U2D2 p4-9
U2D3 p10-13
U2D4 p14-17
U3D1 p18-21
U3D2 p22-31

That's all the info I have on it. hth.

My teacher's manual uses both the drawing book AND NA,NF. We don't have NA,NF but can I just not use it, and use the drawing book?

I believe the Noah's Ark, Noah's Flood book was just removed from the more recent manuals and not replaced with anything. The older manual I have has it scheduled alongside Draw and Write Through History. I think I had read in a thread not long ago that it had gone out of print.

THanks, Miranda - I'm not losing my marbles! :) It seems easy to just do without, then, or did you use something in place of NA,NF with the drawing book?

I used the NA,NF book, because surprisingly, our library had it, but in retrospect, it really didn't add that much to the program imo. Preparing would still have been STELLAR without it
