When I did Preparing I used the back of the lab sheet for the 5 questions so that I had the lab and questions on one paper. It saved on paper too. I wrote out the questions but not required, my ds needed me to do this as the small box in TM confused him. Tammy

Thanks for the visuals. I have my eye on some book/magazine holders. I really want to organize better. IT is hard when there are 4 different aged kids.
I will be viewing your post again as i get closer to Preparing. Not that far away.

One extra thing I did was to print off each poem for the child to draw on, etc. Then I put the poems in a folder and put notebook paper in between each poem. They did their poetry rewrite on those papers.

These look like great tips! I just got my order today and started to look through all the books. This is my 1st year with HOD, so I love the organization tips! I have one question, though. Is there a reason for using composition books or notebooks for things like dictation instead of looseleaf paper to put in a binder? Last year, I just 3-hole punched EVERYTHING so I could keep it all together. Also, are the plastic protectors important...again, why not a 3-hole punch? Just trying to figure it all out. BTW, we will be doing Preparing, Beyond, and LHFHG this year. Do different methods work better for different levels? Thanks for any insight! I am so excited to begin this journey!
