Earlybird K 2A and 2B are the math books for the hands-on math in the daily plans of LHFHG. They are discontinued, but HOD has a special agreement with Singapore, so they are printing them exclusively for HOD now. These books are wonderful - I'm so glad at the extra lengths HOD has gone to keep these in stock! I have one more little guy to use them, so this was a relief to me as they were so successful with my older 2 sons. :)

So...can I use them with a beginner?

Thanks for the info!

I wouldn't start them before a child is about 5 yo. They look deceptively easy, but for the concepts to really stick, and for dc to do well with the increased difficulty in the following guides, it's good to start when they are close to 5 yo. My oldest is just finishing 4B, and he started EB K 2A/2B with LHFHG when he was 5 yo. I wouldn't have wanted a faster pace, and math is his thing.

Hooray, Kim! Sounds like a plan! Do you have the LHFHG guide for the hands-math plans to match EB K 2A/2B? Here's a link with both the EB workbooks and the guide on it:
