Re: Help with Credits from RevtoRev and MTMM

I have no help to give you, but wanted to say I'll be in the same boat with my youngest too so I'm curious what others will say too :)

Re: Week In Review April 24-28

What a full & lovely week you had Julie. I'm so sorry you weren't well, thryoid tired is crazy isn't it? I just had mine retested & I failed the test so badly the look on the lady's face made me realise I wasn't going insane. ;) The little bird in the photo is a cockatiel, we have 2. Archimedes {pic...

Week In Review April 24-28

I'm new, so I hope no one minds if I start the thread, but we had such a lovely week with our new curriculum I couldn't resist sharing it with like minded homeschoolers. We had a slightly rocky start to our week, but that was put to rest & we were able to get on with learning. Here's a photo of my b...

Re: Timing of guides

I'm new, so take this with a grain of salt.. When I decided to give HOD a try for my 7th grader this year I really felt the right place for him was with Res to Ref. However, I knew that would also mean he'd likely be in MTMM for 9th & then likely not finish all the high school guides. The later didn...

Re: Tell me I'm crazy..

Oh it doesn't sound entirely crazy to me. For the previous 6 years we've used a curriculum that comes in loose leaf paper format. I can't stand using a 3-ring binder to lug around when I want to be "open & go". So, I use to wait for the guide to arrive, slip each paper into a page protector & then s...

Re: Common Place Book

Thanks Ladies. :)

Melissa, yes I did tell him that is what a Common Place Book is typically for, but I wasn't sure what day it popped up for "official" use. ;)

Common Place Book

We're using Res to Ref & I'm just curious when/where the mention of using the common place book pops up. My son picked out a special book for this & then when he sat down to do work today I handed him one I'd picked out {blank sketch type book for the science..} & I had to assure him his special not...

Tell me I'm crazy..

Our awesome programmes from HOD arrived & I am SO excited to get to jump in face first tomorrow with my youngest child. He's a little nervous because he saw the huge stack of books & thought he had to do them all at once. Silly boy, he's not new to lit based curriculum, but clearly I've never placed...

Wow, thanks Carrie, that really puts me at ease in deciding what/how to do utilise HOD for my family. :) :D

Re: Changing Curriculum, Full of Questions

Thank you StephanieU :) Very helpful. So another quick question, if I may.. What pattern would be best to follow for a student coming to HOD in 10th grade. He'll be using Geography, he could use World, but there are 2 years of US History, which he's covering now in 9th grade. His only "needed" item ...

Changing Curriculum, Full of Questions

My son has been using another curriculum for some time, but admittedly he's not feeling the "love", so I opted to send off for an HOD catalog which arrived today. Such perfect timing as we're up on a school break that starts this very weekend. I let him compare the curriculum he'd be using with our ...
