Ok, you're doing Bigger? (did a quick search)

If they're an emerging reader, you can get most of those at the library, and don't need DITHOR. If they are an independent reader, then yes, you will need DITHOR and can choose your own books at the library.

No there are "activities" for the math. Sometimes playing a math game, other things... Do you live near any of us? I think if you are an experienced homeschooler, that it would probably be fine!

I think if you are new at homeschooling it might get overwhelming? At least it would for me, and I'm a newbie. But I have no idea what I'm doing, and no experience, and everything scares me. LOL

That's almost identical to my experience!

THe only difference is I specifically needed a format that was NOT all worksheet, worksheet, worksheet...

And I needed it laid out day by day, subject by subject...
