Re: prep time weekly?
Congrats on the baby! Thank you! I'm completely smitten with him. :) I have actually thought about planning to NOT do any significant prep at all each week, just doing each thing as it comes up (print this page, listen to that narration, and so on)... in reality that is what I'm doing now, because ...

Re: prep time weekly?
Thanks for all the replies! Every time I run into a problem or have a question, you guys are always so helpful and I really appreciate it. I like the idea of having the older kids check their upcoming units for things that need to be printed out, and for supplies they need. I tried that for a while ...

prep time weekly?
Hi everyone, Currently we are running four different HOD guides and getting ready to add a fifth. Sounds like a lot but it is actually going really well. My question is about prep time every week. We just had a baby six weeks ago and I'm finding I don't have the time to prep each week that I had bef...

HSLDA
Good morning,
When we used Sonlight years ago, it used to be that we could get a number from them after purchasing for the year and use it to receive a discount on our annual membership with HSLDA. Is anything like that available through HOD?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Loving HOD-at the end of this pregnancy
Agree completely! I am 40 weeks as of yesterday and still waiting for our little one to arrive. We went half speed a week ago with the younger kids who are not very independent yet and it is going well. I feel good that they are still progressing but we are also able to get things done to prepare fo...

Re: DD placed into Bigger but struggling -- is this normal?
Jenn, I am just wondering if you stuck with Bigger and if so, how is it going? I ask becuse we were in the same boat as you but we went down to Beyond. I think if I would have read this post, we would have stayed in Bigger. I am thinking of making some changes after the new year and wonder how thin...

Re: Can MtMM be made high school worthy?
I'm using MTMM for 9th grade right now, for exactly the same reason. My son just wasn't ready skill-wise for the Geo guide. We are finding MTMM to be a very full year, and very rich. He is learning so much, and even though his day is more full than it used to be, he is really enjoying school. I was ...

times for CTC??
Hello ladies, I've searched all over the board, and the scheduling post above, and I can't seem to find a thread on times-per-box for CTC. I hope I'm not just overlooking it, I hate to clog up the board with requests for things I ought to be able to find! (In my defense, I'm VERY pregnant and I have...

Re: English credit for MTMM
Ahhh such a great thread. Jenn, your son and my student are on the same plan!! Yes it was very helpful to me! As far as using MTMM for high school, I was a little unsure about doing it that way at first, but it really is such a full and rich program; I have no regrets. My son is learning so much bo...

Re: Is there anything wrong with setting an alarm for my kid
And, if they knew I wasn't starting school until they got up, they would stay in bed faking sleep! haha! Yep! Mine would totally do that too! We do alarms here too. I really don't think we'd ever get finished in a reasonable time frame otherwise. Our older kids get up at 6:45 and our younger kids a...
