Exploration Education Physical Science Kit
My two oldest are combined in Rev to Rev this fall and we ordered the Exploration Education Physical Science Kit, plus an extra logbook. I am wondering though after looking at it if I should have 2 kits...or at least the extra pieces for making the projects? Do they each need to have their own? Or i...

Re: accredited curriculum and transcripts
Thank you very much for your replies!! That helps me greatly! We are sold on HOD...love the curriculum and watching our kids grow in knowledge and their love for Christ! I'm thankful for having a better understanding of how all this works now, so thank you!!

accredited curriculum and transcripts
Hi ladies, I'm thinking ahead I suppose...my oldest will be in 7th grade this year and we'll be doing Revival to Revolution. I had a friend ask me recently if HOD was an accredited program for high school students. I realized I hadn't really thought about it yet (with younger kids) and wasn't really...

Dictation level too easy?
My daughter, 8, is in Bigger this year. She has been in HOD since the beginning of school. She thinks dictation is super easy and is begging to do dictation that is a lot harder. This is her first year doing dictation, and she is on passage 32 and has not made a single mistake yet this year. ...

Re: Schoolwork is a race
Even my DD in CTC has fallen prey to this for a little while. The sloppy work was partly my fault, I definitely wasn't checking over things like I should have been. I discovered once that my DD had skipped several things for about 3 units, and made her go back and do them all (over the course of th...

Re: Schoolwork is a race
I honestly almost "never" get sloppy work...HOD has really trained them well to be independent and they do work hard. I just wish they'd SLOW down...!mrsrandolph wrote:I'm thinking that if you applied Charlotte Mason's principle of NEVER accepting a single piece of sloppy work that this race might end. Maybe?

Re: Schoolwork is a race
Jessica, Yes, it is encouraging to know my kids aren't the only ones. My two are such good buddies, really like best friends, so I get so frustrated when they act like that to each other!I also make my kids redo work when it is not done to full potential. Most of the time they do a great job,...

Schoolwork is a race
Ladies, I need some suggestions. My oldest 2 are combined in Res to Ref this year. Lately it seems it is a race to see who can get their schoolwork finished first, which means fighting over the guide, arguing over "start time" (not supposed to start school before 8:00 am to allow me time in the Word...

Res to Ref Philippians book
I have 2 kiddos in Res to Ref this year. After thumbing through The Hidden Treasures in Philippians book, I'm wondering if I should have ordered 2 of those...one for each kid to have their own. Thoughts?

IEW Student Resource Notebook
I am printing the IEW Student Resource Notebook pages listed in the Res to Ref guide that are needed. I'm a little confused if what I printed is what's supposed to be printed! :o For example, pages 19-40 is one of the sets listed to print. That's what I selected on my print tab, but those pages from...

Re: Storytime with kids in multiple books
Ladies, thank you so much for your responses and causing me to really think over all this. I am thinking of having my husband do the read-aloud time with the younger 2 when he is home on his lunch break. He doesn't get much opportunity to be involved much with the kids' school time, so this may be a...
