If she's going into 5th grade now I think I'd do English 4 full speed. I'd do 4 in 5th grade, 5 in 6th grade, and 6 spread over 7th and 8th. No matter what grade she is in I think that's the way I'd do it.

I just do everyone moves to the next day in the guide whenever the next day is that we do school... So my kids are generally on all sorts of different units and all sorts of different days at any given point in the year. I don't tend to stress about a schedule.
