Tiffini, Thanks for your post. I followed the link and it was very helpful. I have been so excited to start CtG because it uses the Bible as the spine, but then I found HOD and it looks so good and easier for our family. We have done 2yrs of Ancients using SL, but that was when my oldest was 6yr & ...

MFW to HOD

I love the look of HOD. I came upon HOD's site because I was interested in DITHOR and I made the mistake of looking around and love the Guides  but I have already planned and purchased MFW Creation to the Greeks. Have any of you been there done that :? Have any of you switched from using MFW...

Thanks Joyfulheart. I think I'm going to order Preparing Hearts, so I can use it for the LA's. I'll add some of the history to go along with CtG's. It looks like it will have some ideas for my younger ones to get involved. I'm going to look into the other guides for their Math ideas too. Thanks aga...

I'm not sure which programs you're using. For us, with Bigger -- if doing 2a, 2b it's the WORKBOOKS only. If doing 3a 3b, it's the workbook AND textbook. I havent needed any answer keys, or anything else. The HOD ties it all together nicely, and havent needed anything else. ANd we are under tornado...

Hi Lori,

I'm new here too :) so I don't know too much about the curriculum. I did notice that they do carry FLL from the WTM still. I don't know if it's scheduled in the guides and that's probably what your looking for an answer too. Just thought I would mention it though

Blessings,

Singapore Guide Question

Okay here we are having a few tornado's and on tornado watch and I'm asking questions about curriculum  I am currently or will be using Singapore 1A, 1B, 2A & 2B. I read in another thread that if you purchase HOD Guides, you don't need to purchase Singapore's Textbook. Is this correct? If so...

Language Arts & Math Only

Does anyone purchase the Guides for LA only? I have already purchased CtG from MFW so we don't need the history, geography or science from HOD. I like how the guides schedule in R&S English & DITHOR. I am using Singapore with four of my kiddos already. Plus there is poetry and some other stuff sche...

Thank you ladies very much. You all were very helpful. I plan on using Rod & Staff English 4 with my then 5th grader and I think I'm going to go ahead and use DITHOR with him as his only reading program. I was planning on using Bob Jones Reading 4 but then I came across DITHOR and it looks to be mo...
