Re: Singapore math us editions vs standard editions

I use the Standard Edition and like it very much. I have 6A in the US Edition, but all the rest are Standard. The Home Instruction Guide is MUCH better for the Standard Edition in my opinion.

Bigger Unit 5 Day 3 Science question

I'm just not sure what the answers to the questions are supposed to me. I'm feeling really dumb right now  I would quote them here, but don't want to violate any copyright rules.

Re: Week in Review September 22 - 26

We had a good week over all. The older kids (PHFHG, Res2Rev, Rev2Rev) again finished their Unit in 4 days, so they enjoyed a relaxing Friday. This really seems to motivate them. They love having that day off from school. The children in LHFHG and Bigger are dependent on me, so we don't usually finis...

Re: Attempting 6 Guides This Year

I don't know if this will help anyone, but I started recording the older children's dictations into Evernote so they can do them independently if need be. This seems to be working well and saves me time. They also like it because they don't have to wait for me if I am working with another child. :)

Re: Week in Review: September 8-12, 2014

This week was a little more difficult than last. I didn't get as much done in Bigger and LHFHG because of circumstances beyond my control. I don't like starting the next week when I'm "behind". I guess I'll have to get over that. My older ones stayed on track b/c they do most of it on their own. I w...

Re: Week In Review: September 1-5

We had a great first week of school. Several weeks were spent in the summer working out a new schedule. I felt extremely defeated and discouraged many, many days because I just could not figure out how to make it work. Finally, with much prayer, I had something that fit together (at least on paper :...

Re: Ladies I am totally overwhelmed

Kim, Also, spend some time thinking of something in your day that you can look forward to doing. If we don't do this, then our days can quickly become drudgery as we perform the same tasks over and over without a break. I have found that I like older BBC series, and I order the DVDs and typically w...

Re: Ladies I am totally overwhelmed

Carrie, your post was filled with such wisdom. Thank you for taking the time to write it all out, even though it wasn't specifically for me. I agree, it is much harder in this "season" of life. A lot of "leaning" is needed.
