Re: Are there lists of the book titles used each week?
I color code the books then line them up in the order shown on the website. When we finish a book or I see we need a different one for the following day I simply pull it from the shelf. Has worked well so far.

Re: Sticky for Setting up for each guide?
This would be so helpful! I had come to the MB tonight to find info on that very thing! If it is not possible to do a sticky, could anyone share any links they know of for setting up Preparing and Little Hearts. I bumped a thread a while back. It's probably on page 2 by now. Ds chose to have 3 bind...

Re: Matching Curriculum to Grade Levels
Our oldest was finished with requirements his senior year and could have graduated. Instead he took college level electives at the high school. They added credits to his high school AND college. So, I agree, don't worry about planning that far ahead. It'll work out.

Re: ? About Beefing Up Science
Carrie and anyone else, If at all possible, I would like to stick to one of these plans because I all ready have the material. Would either one work? If so, which would be better? (He does plan to go to college but they have no requirements and neither does our state.) 9th- Anatomy (bad move, I kno...

Yes! I love having my books color coded. I also mark with EXT for the extensions. Level readers I mark with the number.

Re: Our Art projects flop....HELP!!!
We had a few we had to wait for the right time- like the static electricity one. Otherwise, the only one that has been a complete flop was the red paint with laundry soap, glue, etc one in Bigger. However, it turned out so bad that we just laughed and moved on. Others haven't been perfect, but I'm a...

Re: Read-aloud question
We usually have one going that's read in the evening/bedtime and an audio book going in the van. Occasionally, older ds will have one he's reading to younger ds. We also fill our summer with classics and extensions.

Re: Preparing question and looking for Catholics
We'll be doing Bigger and Preparing over 3 years, adding in some outside the home activities. I think as long as you keep moving forward and make sure her reading and math is constant you'll do fine.

Re: skip Bigger?
We have LOVED Bigger this year! I wouldn't skip it. You can add the extensions IF needed, and place him in math and LA at his level (perhaps R&S 3 vs 2 for the younger ones).
My ds may not get through all the guides and I'm simply not worrying about it. No need to borrow worry from tomorrow.

Re: Little hands or little hearts???
I'd probably do Little Hands for the fun learning. Add in the K skills books from Little Hearts (then the 1st grade options the following year when she's in Little Hearts). IF you think she's ready you could add phonics (a program), K math and/or handwriting. It's easy to find Scripture to memorize....

If she places in Bigger then she should be fine. You can always slow down, now or later, if needed.
