Re: FYI: Health Issues and HOD...

Carrie and Julie,
I'm just now seeing this note and am praying now for your families. My mother had pancreatic cancer, but it wasn't caught as early as your dad's. Catching it this early is such a blessing! Will be praying for each of you and your Dad's complete healing and recovery.

Re: HS question: Incorporating the beef-ups

the Extension book titles (which we use in the Storytime box, instead of the basic package).
So if we are going to use MTMM for our first year of high school, do I need to just do the Extension books with my dd and not the Basic History reading also?

Thanks,
Charlene

Re: CTC resesrch-- favorite resources to have on hand

I'm with you there! My son who is finishing up Preparing even has gotten used to doing his Bible verses from Bible Gateway and he uses our Encarta dictionary for his vocab. :( It's been quite a while since my dd has done CTC, but one book I like (though it doesn't have all the stories in it) is the ...

Re: Those with High School Experience

I wonder about the split of American History though? Does the first half match up with the CLEP test? Will next years guide be sufficient to actually cover a U.S. History one credit course? Or will the senior year have to be combined with this year for the credit? A little confused with this line u...

Re: Carrie! You're coming to New England?!?

Yes, I just saw this recently myself! I was so surprised!!! I hope we'll be able to attend. I haven't been to MassHope in a few years because I've been tracking Carrie down in cities where we can visit with our older sons along the way (and call it vacation!). :) We "thought" the closest we were goi...

Re: Another sneak peek into Rev. to Rev.

Hello Carrie, What a wonderful blessing you are to our family! I cannot express how thankful I am for you and HOD! Year's ago, I knew the Lord was leading our family in a "new" direction for our homeschooling, and as much reading, researching and trying to put together a "Christ centered" CM style ...

Shakespeare Plays Anyone??

Hello Ladies, I've been very absent from the message board this year, but I do try to pop in and catch up when I can. I've really missed out on any discussions of those using the newest guide (RTR). I'm using RtR with my 7th grade dd this year and she is really enjoying the Shakespeare portion of t...

Re: Level 4 Dictation typo?

Edited to note: Carrie, your post above must have come in just ahead of my response here. :) I can't answer for Carrie in this, but since I did post the question that started this discussion, I wanted to mention that we have used dictation since Level 3 (with my 12yo dd) and this is the first insta...

Re: Level 4 Dictation typo?

Hi Carrie, Thanks for taking time to answer. I appreciate that you want to keep the passages as written. My dd did this passage today and we both questioned it, so I just thought I'd ask on here to clarify. Now I understand that the dictation passages may not follow all of the current grammar rules....

Level 4 Dictation typo?

Just a quick question here. We are working on Dictation Level 4 #83 and I'm wondering if there should be a comma before the word tyrant in William Tell's quote. Can someone help me with this? I'm thinking he's directing his statement directly to the man, so wouldn't there be commas before and after?...

Re: An impatient question about RTR shipping.... :)

Hi, I've been MIA on the message board all summer and we're getting ready to start back up again. I kept thinking that I usually have the new guide in hand by this time in August. so I was wondering if they have been shipped out yet. I'm so excited to see the new guide and student pages! I'll be wat...
