Re: Resurrection to reformation mid year

I just looked at the table of contents and I think I would be at roughly unit 12.

Resurrection to reformation mid year

Hi ladies I think I've finally realized that I definitely made a mistake by not doing Res to Ref this year. We did CtC last year and were going to take a year off and use something else and back to HOD next year. But my daughter isn't really learning anything. I'm considering ordering the TM for Res...

Re: Revival to revolution

Oh and just FYI - we wouldn't do the science component because we have a small co-op option for that that we love along with families we are close to. But we would probably do all else as is. So don't need thoughts about the science

Revival to revolution

Hi ladies We are thinking about doing Revival to Revolution next year. I believe that is exactly where my daughter will place. We did CtC last year and are using a different curriculum this year for various reasons. I am contemplating a couple other options, including a local history and English cla...

Re: online typing instructor?

We use Typing Instructor Platinum for kids (21). You can get it on amazon for about $20. All 3 of my kids love it. (Ages 6,8,12) You set the level based on age and where they are. Lots of fun games and it seems to really work. I feel like that's a good price for 3 kids and you can continue to up the...

Write with the best 2

Hi ladies,
I have a question about Write with the Best - the 2nd volume. Do you think it's too advanced for a 6th grader?
Thanks!!

Fun ? Re: res to ref

Hi ladies I have a fun question for you. We will be doing Resurrection to Reformation next year with my 6th grader. If you could pick anywhere in the world to travel that would coordinate nicely with what is being studied, where would you go and at what point of the year in the guide? We are hoping ...

Is she ready for Preparing

Hi ladies, I am trying to decide about next year. We are heading to the convention in Cincinnati at the end of March and I plan to go ahead and buy everything then, so I'm working through placement now. This is for my rising 3rd grader. She is an excellent, voracious reader. She is a talented writer...

discussions in later guides

Hi ladies I have a quick question. In the high school guides, how much discussion is supposed to take place between student and parent regarding history and literature. I know independence is fostered and encouraged and I'm glad. But I also want to discuss and have rich, deep conversations about all...

Re: ? about balancing things

Thanks ladies! This is helpful. I am really praying God just works it all out when we cross that bridge. Thankfully I have several other friends at the co-op that feel the same way and I have been reminding my girls that they may only get to take a couple of classes there and not to expect a full lo...

? about balancing things

Hi ladies, I hope you all are doing well! I have a question that really isn't HOD related, though we are using CTC this year and my daughter and I are LOVING it. Next year we will continue with her and also add in her little sister, who will likely do Preparing. But.........here's my question. We ar...

She would place in either 2A or 2B. I'd probably start 2A just to be safe. I actually don't mind math. But I just learned it more the Abeka or Saxon way.....

Math question

Hi ladies I have a math question. My oldest daughter is using CLE math. We formerly used Horizons but switched to CLE and it's working great for her and for me as well. I learned that way in school. Very traditional math. My 2nd daughter doesn't like CLE or horizons. We tried Singapore and math mamm...
