Re: Creative Writing in RTR

Okay, it looked like in the Week Preview that it was only scheduled once. I can only get bits and pieces this year of HOD, so I'm trying to figure out how often to schedule it. :) I'm also doing CTC Write with the Best, but don't have the guide. Is it scheduled three days?

Creative Writing in RTR

How many times is the Creative Writing book scheduled in Revival to Revolution? Do they typically just do one page a day?

What grade is MTMM best for?

Would MTMM be best for 9th grade, and what do I need to make it credit worthy? How many credits would I get out of it?

Thank you! :D

Drawn Into the Heart of Reading

We started DITHOR a long time ago and unfortunately put it away. Now, I'm thinking about going back to it, and make it work for our family, because it looks so good! My kids are older now, but basically using it for the first time, would it be okay to just use 4/5 with all of them? They are 4th, 6th...

Rod and Staff English

I'm looking at using English 3, at full speed with my 4th grader; English 4 at full speed with my 6th grader; and English 5, half-full speed depending on skill, with my 7th grader. Does this sound like a good plan? We have not had diagramming previously, so I want to make sure before I buy. :D With ...

Re: Need help with Placement

I was thinking about that. I think you are right, the jump down and then a big jump up, could be a shock. I think for the DITHOR, I would actually do 2/3 for my 4th grader. He's a good reader, but a reluctant writer. Thank you!

Re: Need help with Placement

Now, after looking some more, I'm wondering if I should do Resurrection to Reformation instead, for my 6th and 7th grader. Also, use extensions for 7th. Does this sound better? That would put me MTMM for 9th. Is it high school credit worthy?

Need help with Placement

I have used the earlier guides with my kids, have had other school arrangements for awhile, and am now considering using HOD for this coming school year. I'm overwhelmed all over again! lol! So many new choices! Here is what I am thinking, but would love the input on other ideas. Preparing for my 4t...

Preparing Question...

Is the Self Study Deluxe Package for the Newly Independent Reader scheduled into the Preparing Guide? Do I also need DITHOR with readers in addition to this? Thank you! :D

Re: Where to begin again in English...

That sounds great! They have not done diagramming. So for next year... 3rd, 5th and 6th, would you suggest book 2, 3, and 4? Possibly going full speed at least with the two older?

Thanks! :D

Where to begin again in English...

Hi! We have been away for awhile from Rod and Staff English, but I would like to get my kids back into it. Where would I start? My kids are currently in 2nd grade, 4th and 5th? How would this look in the long term plan?

Thank you! :D
