Can A Kid Who is bad at Math go to college?
I am wondering if my son (13), who has overcome many mild learning issues can possibly handle college. Math is the main issue with which I am concerned at this point. He has overcome dysgraphia and writes well. He does have a hard time understanding and analyzing poetry. But in math, he does not kno...

Re: written narr. with dyslexia/dysgraphia
Wow! I have 2 children with this diagnosis. When my now 13 year old was in CTC, I helped him take notes on the History reading. I read it aloud to him. He then took those notes and types the written narration on the computer. He can do written narrations independently now in Res2Ref, but he does not...

Re: math help ... for a child who can't do math!
I have a math challenges child as well. We did Saxon 1 and then went straight into Teaching Textbooks 3. I sit with him for TT in case he needs me and to explain things more fully. Best of luck!! (Singapore did not work for him either).

My daughter is just a rising Freshman, but I am wondering about all things COLLEGE! For those of you who have kids you have homeschooled who are now in college, SPILL IT! :D What transcript service did you use (if you used one). Re: Struggling SO much with reading aloud!
The post where Carrie is quoted is about my son, and he has ADHD. I have started him on Natural Supplements (chewable) until he starts meds. They help. He takes GABA, THP, and Focus Factor Kids.

ADHD Help- Preparing
My youngest (9) has ADHD and is in Preparing. We are just now having him formally tested, so he is not currently medicated (though we are praying for it). He is VERY bright. However, he CANNOT attend to the readings in Preparing. I had to toss out The Fountain Of Life when I finally admitted I was r...

MTMM Retention
My 8th grade daughter in MTMM is VERY bright, but is lazy. She will do as little as she can get by with unless it is something that She is interested in. She is a gifted sketch artist and spends hours a day on a single sketch...getting it perfect. She is retaining NOTHING. She does well on her assig...
