Re: Back to HOD!
Katherine, you are indeed a fraud. I went to homeschoolreviews past posts. You claimed to know Diana R in real life and had planned to go over to see the twins and bring her a meal but Diana was for sure found out to be a fraud. So if she isn't real, yet you know her in real life...well me thinks so...

Re: Creating a notebook in Beyond
Love this idea. I know there are pages on the HOD yahoo group for Beyond...so perhaps that might be a good place to start.
We start in a week and a half. I am so excited to start!!!!

I agree with 3sweeties. Let her read it when she is ready for it. What a sweet girl she must be. We are looking at adopting transracially and I wonder about situations like this. I hope your daughter opens up to you about what she is thinking and feeling.

Re: OT: Way off Topic, but feel lead to ask
I am honored to pray for you and your family. God's timing, though always perfect, is so hard to wait for sometimes. You're testimony of what God is doing in your lives in the midst of such great loss is nothing short of amazing. I pray God blesses you with a new baby soon.

Re: Mission Trip- a friend keeping kids/homeschooling ?
Tina! Thank you sooo much! I love the idea of letting them keep a journal of their time while I'm gone including what they learned and also prayers for me. My son could dictate to my friend and have her write it down. I absolutely love it! And I am really leaning towards more independent w...

Re: Mission Trip- a friend keeping kids/homeschooling ?
I had thought about having "goody bags" for each of my kids for every day I'll be gone. Each bag labeled for the day with their name on it. My husband could give it to them each day. I was thinking about having a personal note inside to each with something small and different each day....like silly ...

Re: Mission Trip- a friend keeping kids/homeschooling ?
She is using CLASS. So mostly textbook based. She thinks he can do most of it alone but since she is so new to homeschooling she is nervous about that. I just don't want to overwhelm her. Although she might love teaching Emma and in turn love HOD. Writing down exact units and days is a great ...

Re: Singapore ordering question...
I used Singapore 1A & 1B independent of HOD last year and the home instructor's guides were not needed, IMO. I started off using them but they only managed to confuse me. I did however have the workbooks and textbooks. But I believe if you are doing Beyond with your first grader that Carrie has incl...
