Re: MTMM for 9th and 11th grades?

Stephanie, do a search for "beefing up MTMM." There are several posts that may help you. Carrie & Mike are traveling to conventions right now, so it might take longer to get a reply. So in the meantime read some of those posts and see if you can figure anything out. I've sort of been working on the ...

Not liking DITHOR, help?

I think I need help. I've been trying, but I am just not liking DITHOR. My son is 13, doing the 4/5 book w/4/5 books for the readings. He reads the books just fine and enjoys them, but half the time we don't even do the student pages because it seems like they just don't fit or something. So far we'...

Re: Science in RevToRev and WG

Your son sounds a lot like my 16 year old. :) He's a reader, not a math kid, and also not so much for hands-on things. :D He was having a lot of trouble with the chemistry (ACE) that he was doing because of all the math. After discussing on here, with Carrie, she suggested going with the IPC course ...

Re: Home Economics in High School?

I didn't know that book existed! We had the first one years ago when my girls were young. I like the looks of the new one. :) But anyway, my girls are grown now and it's just the boys left. Since they wouldn't appreciate that one, I'm wondering what *might* be in the works for the boys since they're...

Re: Home Economics in High School?

There's nothing in WG or WH. I don't know if there will be anything in the last two years or not. I would just add it in anyway, the sooner the better. :D

Re: teaching responsible and safe online research to older k

We have huge issues in our house just with our boys being online all the time with their dumb phones. :( No, we didn't *let* them get phones, but when one of them turned 18, well.... Let's just say we *do* have some issues around here. BUT....one of the things we have done and it's very helpf...

Re: Switching from MFW mid year - Help!!

I wish there was a "like" button on message boards, like on Facebook. :D I agree with all the above. We switched from MFW too and are really happy that we did. You'll do great and love HOD as much as the rest of us! :) And we always end up starting a new level in January which works out just fine fo...

Guess we're just going to have to move to another part of the US. :D You're still not going to be anywhere near us. :( Can we come to your house when we go see our daughter in Canada sometime???? You're right on the way!!! :D

Re: IPC lab work?

Thanks for the info, Melissa! I'll ask, but I don't need it for a couple more years. My 13 year old is just on RTR this year. But maybe they'll still work with me if I can come up with the $$$ to go ahead and get the whole package. Need to start watering that money tree in our yard.... ;)

Re: IPC lab work?

Thanks, Julie! Yep, I'm the same way. I looked at those IPC pacs, then I looked at the Science kit and thought, "There is NO way I can figure this out!" So I ordered the guide this morning. :D I wish I would have ordered it last week when I ordered everything else, I could have saved $10 on shipping...

IPC lab work?

So I bought the IPC books and lab kit to do Physics w/my 16 year old. But I didn't buy the WG guide.... I'm wondering if I am going to need it. I hated to buy it *just* for the IPC stuff since we're not doing anything else in the guide, but I have no clue how to figure out the lab work. Any thoughts...
