It's Box Day!!!!

I just got my box! My ds asked me what was in the box so both of my kids were crowded around me pulling all of the books out and looking at them. I told ds these are his new school books. He was so excited. Then dd pointed to a flyer with the pre -k program on it and said this is my school books. (I...

I just wanted to add my dh eye problems were not caught until an old fashioned teacher had him read aloud. He read every word twice. Why? Because it was written twice according to him. This was in 1st/2nd grade. He never told his parents because he thought this was how everyone saw things.

I'm hoping it won't be too bad to juggle. Carrie was indicating I will just do the Left side of the pg for Little and the Right side for Beyond. Of course I will have to continue to do this for a few yrs which might stink for a bit, but it might make for a good break in the day. Do math and LA first...

I ordered!

After a lengthy thread and a phone call, I have figured out where to place my ds and I have placed my order. Carrie and I had a wonderful conversation and we determined I should get Little Hearts for the history and science and get the Beyond for the math and LA. This will mean for a few years I wil...

If I purchase the Beyond manual, will I get the LA as well as the math schedule? Then how would that effect the following yr when we are doing the history from Beyond and math 2a and 2b as well as whatever LA?

After discussing with my dh, he thinks our son is math and LA ready for beyond but history and Bible ready for little hearts. My guess is if we did this combo I would need to get the package for little and the manual for beyond to get the LA and the math? Is that correct? Thanks for the link for the...

Math wise my ds can write his numbers, count to 100 by 10's, 5's and 2's. I have him roll a dice and tell me how many more he would need to make 10. I already own the singapore earlybird series, which I should probably pull out again. I have heard that in Singapore they don't start 1a until age 7 bu...

Well I have looked at the Little Hearts for His Glory and it looks good. There are definitely things I like in there. As I was looking at the table of contents (which I probably should have before dismissing it), I thought I could get the Bible reader from MFW (which is the main thing I like from th...

I'm still trying to get all of these different names straight in my feeble brain. Beyond is the one that I think he would place into (6 - 8 yr old). Carrie you are correct in that MFW K ends with short vowel words but in ETC he has covered short vowels, consonant blends, words ending in a long vowel...

Here is the situation right now. We are completing MFW K with my ds who turned 6 in NOV. We have already completed ETC books 1 ,...
