Re: discussions in later guides
Regarding history in World Geography, she has to narrate once a week. Every now and then, she also has to dictate her narration to me. For literature, we discuss one story per week, then she also has times that she had to come to me with a topic that we discuss. It seems like there's more and I'm fo...

Re: Combining kiddos?
If you want to put them each into their own guide, then choose one storytime package to read aloud. So, if you end up doing Beyond, Bigger, and Preparing, then choose to read the storytime titles from Bigger or something like that. Or, if you think you can swing it, put the older two in a guide toge...

Carrie, I was hoping you'd chime in. I appreciate your detailed answer. I've got more to consider now for keeping it as written. Thanks so much!

Re: Combining for Electives only in High School
Between this post and the FB one, you guys weren't much help....haha! Sounds like it's pretty split. I totally understand how it would flow better as written. I need to pray about it some more. It's a tough decision. I like the idea of them being together to allow for more discussion though. Sometim...

Combining for Electives only in High School
I am wondering if I should combine my highschoolers for electives next year or if there's any benefit to that. My son will be 9th grade, doing WG. My daughter will be 10th grade, doing WH. So, my 9th grader would skip Religion and Cultures and Logic, to do Fine Arts and Health with his older sister....

Re: LHFHG full speed or half??
I started my 5 year old Kindergartner doing only 4 days per week of LHFHG. I will continue doing this for all of the guides that have 5 day weeks instead of 4. So next year, when he's in 1st, we'll still be doing LHFHG for part of the year, and then moving into Beyond. For 2nd grade, he'll be doing ...

Re: customer service
Since there's no customer service reps here, she gets to talk to the creator of the curriculum! How often does that happen? If not her, then her husband, who I'm sure is just as knowledgeable. Tell her that they are probably busy with conventions, but in my experience, have always contacted me quick...

Re: Those who don't break for summer
Our family schools year round. We chose to do this because my husband is in the military and is gone some during the year. When he is home, we are able to take more time off to spend with him. When he's gone, we diligently do school. We also used to live on a tropical island where the summers were u...

World Geography Board or Prep link
Julie and Carrie, would you please consider making a board for World Geography like all the other years? It would include links for preparing for it and any other important links/discussions.

My daughter skipped Rev to Rev and is in MtMM for 8th grade. Her days usually last about 5 hours. She does a different math than what's scheduled. She does not do extensions.

The Teacher's manual (for the advanced version) is a smaller, thinner book. Mine was at the very bottom of the box.

Re: MTMM Nature Study Question
Since we'll be re-using the MtMM manual for siblings, my daughter is doing all her work in a blank sketch book.
