With dd#2, she's 6 yo now, I did MFW K...we dropped it only half way through. Both my girls are in HOD now (LHFHG adn BHFHG). I wanted a Christian curriculu...

My gut is saying to go with Beyond. I only have LHTH, LHFHG, and BHFLG here. I don't have Beyond to look at. My personal feeling is that if you go with Beyond, he will be able to accomplish more thus having a more successful feeling towards his abilities. You can always beef it up if you need to. If...

Another here who hasn't read all the replies.... I am using The Reading Lesson with my 6 yo dd. I used 100 EZ Lessons with dd#1 at age 4 who was already reading. I like The Reading Lesson better. 100 EZ drags things out too long for a lesson. I *might* do that after we get through The Reading Lesson...

Re: weep no more!

I was thinking that maybe Carrie could hire me to sit at the book fair that is coming in July to Charlotte, NC. I would be happy to sit both days, and I promise I would sell sell sell. All I ask in return is all the materials!! Hmm, I wonder if she will like this idea? Wahoo for that second c...

I just ordered this book, The Successful Homeschool Family Handbook, and would be happy to pass it on to any other mamas here after I am done with it. I think it would benefit me to read it now, and encourage me to take the summer off and let the kids be kids....still having responsibilities and wo...

How perfect is this! For those stressing with getting school work done, unsure on which HOD level to choose, how much is too much...how much is not enough...PLEASE READ! I felt such peace from this, and was totally reaffirmed, once again, that HOD is perfect for us for all the reasons below! I will ...

Okay...I missed something, I guess - lol. For me...what I LOVE about HOD that I didn't see online when looking through all the samples...I didn't see my kids on the HOD site jumping, and exicted, and wanting to do school work each day! They are having a blast, and both of them have told me they like...

Here are my tendencies in bold from both types. Those also in italics...I was iffy about. I think I use to be an Olive growing up. And, I think I'm a Betty now. Life happens and with that comes changes. The biggest change for me, making me more bold and not afraid to speak my mind and do what I need...

Wow - is it possible to be both? I feel like I have a split personality reading the strengths/weaknesses of both. I'm 1/2 and 1/2. I need to really think on this one. Tab Give me an example when you say you do both to #3? (this is helpful thanks for working through this with me) Is #3 the sick ques...

Mary - Wanna help me figure this out? :) #1 - I definitely pull in and contemplate before discussing. Or I type it out for myself, delete it, change it, edit it, move it around...THEN click 'submit'. #2 - I definitely react with a "Sure!" (even when I shouldn't, sometimes!). I'm guessing I'm an Oli...
