Last year when we got to to book project part of the reading program in Biography. I was thinking about "Life" books and adopted kids. It's this book you put together detailing as much as you know about your childs life before they come home. And then add more pictures and stories as they grow older...

I have mixed feelings.. I worked my way though college in a library. I love books :) Contact paper will probably do just fine... if you only want to keep the book for a few years.. but if you do a quick internet search on "book jacket covers" you can find lots of high quality not terribly expensive ...

I don't do it to "daily" school but I do add them in every vacation or weekend camping trip. For example I took the "one small square of sea shore" to our beach vacation.
